TAN CARE

You are responsible for your before and after tan care; lack of following them can cause unfavorable results.

Pre-Tan Instructions
Shower, shave, and exfoliate your skin. Manicure and Pedicure should be done prior to receiving your tan. Waxing should be done 24 hours prior to tanning. No lotion or deodorant the day of your tan, make sure your skin is free of oils, use a loofah to exfoliate your skin. Avoid Dove soap or body wash before and after because it can make your tan uneven.

Your Tan Experience
You can tan nude, in a bathing suit, or whatever you feel comfortable in. If you tan topless it would be best to keep your bra off for about 45 minutes or until your tan is dry. Please bring loose fitting clothing to wear after you receive your tan. If it’s raining or snowing the day of your appointment, bring an umbrella and wear long pants, long sleeved shirt or a sweatshirt.

After Your Tan
No showering for 6-8 hours after tan however you will be given specific instructions depending on the solution used. Avoid water/rain and take care when washing hands and especially brushing your teeth. Please don't wash your face. Do not exercise or sweat while the solution is still on your skin.

Also, avoid touching your skin as your palms can become stained. We recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants, or covering your hands with socks if you sleep in your tan. This will prevent the spray from transferring to your hands and staining them. If this happens, please contact me. If the bronzer gets on your clothes or sheets, it usually washes off.

When you take your first shower, you will want to shower with only water! You will see the water appear brown but don't worry, you are not washing off the tan; it's only the bronzer washing off. This is normal, as your tan develops underneath the bronzer. Cooler and faster showers using liquid soap are best. When toweling off pat dry; rubbing your skin can cause your tan to fade.

Wait one day before shaving. Use a sharp, clean razor with a lubricant product, when shaving, hair conditioner works well.

Keeping your skin hydrated is very important. Ideally, moisturize twice a day especially after every shower. We highly recommend our exclusive tan extender moisturizer and it contains our patented DHA! If you have extremely dry skin, our Super Hydrating “Quench” Moisturizer is amazing! You will receive the best results since these products are made specifically for our tanning solution. These products will be available for purchase. Your tan should last 7-10 days or even longer depending on how well you take care of your skin. Your tan should fade gradually. Enjoy your custom organic airbrush tan!

Long-term care
If you will be in the sun, apply sun block only! Nothing with oil, as this will cause the tan to fade.
Avoid hair removal products such as nair or wax.
Do not exfoliate with a loofah, body scrubs, or body washes with exfoliating beads until your tan starts to fade away. Regular moisturizers may not protect your tan because their ingredients can actually degrade the color and cause it to fade faster or become splotchy.
Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, pools and heavy sweating, harsh soaps, bar soaps and scrubs will shorten the life of your tan.
